| 1.FURISODE The long swinging sleeves and the most gorgeous design are indeed characteristic of Kimono. Furisode is known as the most formal Kimono for unmarried women. 2.TOMESODE There are two types of Tomesode, Black Tomesode and Colored Tomesode. Both types have designs only at the bottom with 5 crests. Tomesode is the most formal dress for married women. 3.HOUMONGI Houmongi is worn as a pre-formal Kimono. Patterns are designed to cross over panel to panel on the bottom and cross the shoulders. 4.IROMUJI Whether married or not, Iromuji is worn very conveniently. IROMUJI means self-colored Kimono, so usually it is plain or made by crepe material with 3 or 1 crests. 5.TUKESAGE The design of Tukesage is almost the same with Houmongi. In spite of its crossed over patterns, the designs are put on Tanmono (Kimono cloth) directory. Most of the Tanmono that are on our online store are Tukesage. 6.KOMON Komon is worn as everyday dress. Komon is called a one piece dress. People wear Komon for shopping or casual parties etc. The design is a repeat of the same patterns. |
