Tanzaku means strips of fancy paper for writing a tanka or Haiku on. Tiny pretty flowers are dyed on the Tanzaku. If we tailor Kimono with this Tanmono, the Tanzaku are arranged lengthways. This design has a neat and clean image, but the atmosphere can be changed by Obi or Haneri.

All Tanmono is 11 to 12 meters long (4.3 to 4.7 inches).
