Tanzaku means strips of fancy paper for writing a tanka or Haiku on. This pattern is designed from them. Some traditional Japanese Kimono uses objects not only from flowers or natural things, but also things people use in their daily life such as old court carriages, pottery, fans, or even the buildings.
The material is Rinzu that is woven with raw silk.

All Tanmono is 11 to 12 meters long (4.3 to 4.7 inches).
