This technique is named Shibori (tie-dyed fabric). At first, the white cloth is tied with strings in particular places of the Tanmono. The material is then dipped in dye and only the tied parts remain white creating various pattern. The flowers on this Tanmono are Ume blossoms. They look pretty and project a floating image on the Tanmono.  We recommend Obi no. 3 and 4.

All Tanmono is 11 to 12 meters long (4.3 to 4.7 inches).
The colors can differ depending on the monitor.
